Student Council address issues of concern for the WHS community, such as teen mental health issues and school culture, as well as organize important events such as Homecoming, Prom, and Graduation.
This is a great class for anyone interested in developing their leadership skills and becoming more involved in developing the school's climate and culture. It's also great for anyone thinking about a career in politics and government!
Student Council represents the entire student body, therefore we are looking for a wide variety of students who can represent WHS. We are looking for hardworking, responsible individuals who are motivated to make a difference in their school.
Student leaders are expected to maintain good grades and exhibit exemplary behavior (such as attendance).
Student Council meets once a week after school.
