This course teaches you essential lab skills, like handling and examining specimens, that are commonly used in medical offices and clinics. You’ll also review and practice for the National Certification Exam for Medical Assistants, helping you feel confident and prepared. By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to demonstrate your skills and knowledge as an entry-level medical assistant and support quality patient care.
Prerequisite (classes you must take first): Completion of Eng/Lang 2 and Integrated Math 2 (or equivalent)

This course will be offered at the new Ranum campus beginning in the Fall of 2025. Students will be provided one-way transportation and the course will be double-blocked in either the morning or afternoon. Students will sign a contract committing to participation in the entirety of the course.
Students may be able to earn core credit through engagement in these courses.
