This course introduces the basics of pharmacology, including medical abbreviations, drug classifications, and dosage calculations. You’ll learn about medication safety, prescriptions, forms of medications, and how drugs interact with the body. Hands-on practice will help you develop clinical skills like measuring medications, administering treatments, and caring for patients. This course will be offered at the new Ranum campus beginning in the Fall of 2025. Students will be provided one-way transportation and the course will be double-blocked in either the morning or afternoon. Students will sign a contract committing to participation in the entirety of the course.
Students may be able to earn core credit through engagement in these courses.
