Intro to Biotechnology
Biotechnology is an exciting part of the medical field that is revolutionizing the way that doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals are helping their patients and treating diseases and disorders. In this hands-on course, students will learn the foundations of how technology and the medical field work together to improve outcomes for patients. Students will learn a variety of the tools and techniques used in biotechnology, and will have the opportunity to practice what they’ve learned by engaging in laboratory experiences used in medical facilities and biotechnology companies around the world.
Prerequisite (classes you must take first): Completion of Eng/Lang 2 and Integrated Math 2 (or equivalent)

Other Info you should know
This course will be offered at the new Ranum campus beginning in the Fall of 2024. Students will be provided one-way transportation and the course will be double-blocked in either the morning or afternoon. Students will sign a contract committing to participation in the entirety of the course.
Students may be able to earn core credit through engagement in these courses.
