Students will learn about the teaching profession through field trips to classrooms in WPS where they will be able to watch and assist teachers in action. Students will also get experience with writing lessons and how to manage classrooms.
The primary goal of the Teacher Prep Program is to encourage academically talented, high achieving, high school students with exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills to consider teaching as a career.
This class is for you if you are interested in becoming a teacher, fine arts director, coach, counselor, school administrator or ANYONE who works with kids in grades K-12!
This class will focus on teaching in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade.
This class is also great for anyone interested in learning how to run groups and discussions (such as in business, government or ANY professional setting)!
