This course prepares students to work as educational assistants and earn a Paraprofessional Certificate, along with college credit. You’ll learn instructional methods, technology use, and behavior management techniques, while also receiving CPR and First Aid training. The course provides a strong foundation for students interested in becoming teachers. It’s a great opportunity to gain skills and start a career in education.

Exploring Careers in Education - how do you become an educator?
Exploring Instruction - how do you create lessons and set up a classroom?
Exploring Current Trends in Education
Extended Learning Experiences - students will complete 15 hours of observations, student assistantship, tutoring, assisting with youth activities
