Welcome to Westminster High School Choirs! We look forward to continuing the rich tradition of excellence in choral music at WHS with another year of making beautiful music together. Joining the Choir program is a serious commitment but the rewards are many!!

This is a great class for anyone who likes to sing! Don't know how to sing? Then you should definitely take a choir class so that you can learn!

Attendance at scheduled performances and rehearsals outside of school hours is required. These courses may be repeated for credit.
Students are expected to participate and have a willingness to try to make JOYFUL noise!!
Los Lobos (males): This introductory course focuses on basic musicianship skills. Students are instructed in basic vocal techniques, sight-reading skills, and performing in unison, two, and three parts. Los Lobos is for males.
Westy Singers (females): This introductory course focuses on basic musicianship skills. Students are instructed in basic vocal techniques, sight-reading skills, and performing in unison, two, and three parts. Westy Singers is for females.
Swing Set: This auditioned, mixed choir provides the vocal student exposure to a wide range of vocal jazz and popular literature and experiences. Audition required.
Sirens (females): This auditioned choir provides the vocal student exposure to a wide range of vocal jazz and popular literature and experiences. Audition required.
Essence (females): In this auditioned women's choir, the skilled vocal student gains exposure to a wide range of music literature and experiences, while refining vocal production, choral technique and musicianship. This course expands on the vocal production and musicianship skills presented in Westy Singers. This choir provides the vocal student exposure to a wide range of music literature and experiences. Audition required.
Chamber Choir: This auditioned mixed choir emphasizes the total art of performing music at the highest possible level. This ensemble provides the student experience in performing a wide variety of repertoire including madrigal, classical, gospel, jazz, and pop music. Audition required.
Raging Harmonies: This auditioned advanced course emphasizes the total art of performing music at the highest possible level. This ensemble provides the student experience in performing contemporary cappella music. Audition required.
