I am Lacey Deem, a proud graduate of the Spring 2023 class, holding a bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design. My journey at West Liberty was driven by the desire to enhance my artistic abilities and  - more

delve into the captivating realm of art and design, which has ignited a fresh passion within me. Throughout my academic pursuit, I acquired valuable skills in publication design, brand strategy, and creative design while also venturing into the realm of UI UX design, an area I wished to showcase through my senior project.

"Ami" serves the purpose of assisting individuals in enhancing their overall well-being through a combination of mental and physical exercises. It is a platform that allows users to connect with nature and address their mental health requirements. By harnessing the power of nature, "Ami" facilitates both adventure and the development of effective stress-management techniques. It enables users to cope more effectively with the demands of their daily lives.

One of the standout features of "Ami" is its ability to provide users with accurate assessments of their stress levels through AI-based tests. By monitoring and understanding their stress levels, individuals can gain valuable insights into their well-being. This empowers them to make informed decisions regarding their mental health. My intention with "Ami" was to empower people to explore, find solace, and cultivate healthy habits, ultimately fostering their overall health and happiness.

This decision introduced me to a diverse range of individuals who motivated me to develop my abilities further. I find great joy in learning from different people as it broadens my perspective when it comes to designing and marketing. This experience has profoundly influenced me, fueling my desire to make a positive impact on others not only through my work but also by utilizing the skills I have acquired.

Awe Art is a visionary company dedicated to crafting enriching environments that stimulate children's creative thinking and prioritize their mental well-being. As someone who spent significant time in hospitals during my childhood, I experienced firsthand how blank walls heightened anxiety and made my stay feel even longer. Unfortunately, this was also the case in my primary and middle schools. Awe Art collaborates with talented artists passionate about inspiring others through vibrant murals. Our aim is to adorn spaces such as schools, children's hospitals, therapist offices, daycares, and more with these captivating artworks. Through these transformative murals, our goal is to inspire children, alleviate their anxiety, and contribute to their overall mental health.

has led me on an incredible journey, culminating in my chosen major.

When I first enrolled at West Liberty, I found myself at a crossroads. Though my parents suggested a different path, I mustered the courage to follow my heart and pursue my true passion. Since then, I haven't looked back, and every year has been a transformative experience, both artistically and personally.

One particular milestone that stands out is my junior year, when I secured a coveted summer internship at the renowned design agency, Outright. Working alongside a team of exceptionally talented individuals, I had the incredible opportunity to observe and learn from their real-world expertise. Collaborating with esteemed brands like St. Jude's, Memphis University, Marriott, AWHP, and Me Too further enhanced my professional growth and allowed me to contribute to their remarkable projects.

This remarkable journey at West Liberty University has solidified my commitment to the field of graphic design and nurtured my skills and expertise. FORAY Video Game Design

Hello, I'm Skylar Bachman. I studied Digital Media at West Liberty University. Over the course of my studies, I have acquired a diverse range of skills that have fully immersed me in the world of design.  - more

From mastering the fundamentals of traditional two-dimensional art to creating intricate animations using Adobe Premiere and After Effects, as well as delving into photography and filmography, my time at West Liberty has equipped me with a wealth of valuable abilities.

Since I was young, my passion has been designing video games, and the knowledge I have gained from my classes has been invaluable in pursuing this interest. This is particularly evident in my senior capstone project, which centered entirely around game development and drew upon many of the skills I had acquired. Successfully implementing animations, storyboarding my ideas before execution, and possessing a solid foundation in digital art were crucial elements in bringing this project to life. However, I also undertook independent research to learn additional skills, such as coding, to enhance my game. Thankfully, my academic journey has prepared me well for this, as thorough research is always essential before embarking on a challenging endeavor. Consequently, I have witnessed remarkable progress on this project throughout the semester, and I can proudly say that I have created something I am truly proud of.

Novuthea Branding

My name is Megan Cunningham, and I am a graduating senior at West Liberty University with a degree in Visual Communication Design with a focus on Illustration. I have always found art to   - more

be a great destresser and a way to find peace in the typical craziness of the day-to-day. For this reason, I have been furthering my skills and creativity to create work that can provide a sense of

calm for others.

I created Novuthea to be a brand focused on self-care and fighting caregiver burnout for individuals who might not always remember to stop and take care of themselves. Novuthea allows these individuals to slow down and focus on growing themselves, similar to the

plants that they are borrowing their new energy/healing from. The borrowing aspect of this also comes into play as another big focus for the brand is the idea of the natural cycle of energy

which begins with a seed and finally ends at the composting stage, where the cycle begins anew.

I'm Alana Milewsky, a Digital Media Designer and Professional Photographer. Before college,    - more

I was uncertain about which path to pursue. However, my passion for photography ignited a love for multimedia, making it the perfect fit for me. Fortunately, West Liberty University provided me with the opportunity to delve into the digital world and discover more about myself. While I can't claim to have enjoyed every aspect of my college experience, I can proudly say that my most cherished endeavor was my senior capstone project.

Creating my own podcast was something I never envisioned, mainly because I disliked the sound of my voice in recordings and considered myself an introvert. Nevertheless, taking the podcast class at West Liberty compelled me to step outside my comfort zone. I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity as it inspired the concept for The LoGhouls Podcast, where I delve into stories of local hauntings in and around the Ohio Valley. As a religious individual, I've always held an interest in the supernatural and desired to engage in discussions with others, exploring diverse beliefs and theories surrounding the paranormal. Through this podcast, my goal is to not only entertain audiences but also provide both believers and skeptics with a fresh perspective on the afterlife.

I am Jamie Fogle, a Visual Communicator based in Wheeling, WV. With a lifelong passion for creation, I have dedicated myself to the art of design.    - more

My primary objective is to leverage my skills to assist and educate others effectively. It is often underappreciated that design possesses the potential to bring about substantial yet overlooked, changes in our world. Through my work, I strive to contribute to a better world by crafting aesthetically pleasing and impactful designs.

Among my notable accomplishments is the development of a pioneering UI/UX Concept tailored to address the mental well-being of student-athletes. This concept provides a comprehensive solution, encompassing features such as direct access to sports psychiatrists via the app, fostering communication among student-athletes within a dedicated community section, and facilitating daily emotional check-ins. By integrating these carefully curated elements, the concept aims to alleviate the pressures faced by student-athletes and promote their overall mental health.
