English 10

Please review the syllabus to get an understanding of what this class has to offer. The ELA 10 curriculum will be using a combination of project-based learning, socratic seminars, thematic units, hands on analysis, and student voice to navigate through the English Language Arts Common Core State Standards for 10th grade. Providing relevant and real-world examples for us to dissect will increase student interest and shifts the responsibility of learning to the student as they acquire knowledge to solve problems. 

We will start with the thematic question "is there ever really a truly chosen identity, or is it always co-constructed" and continue with "how does the promise of the American Dream include or exclude certain people?"
