Trimester 1

Unit 1: Greetings, Days, Colors & Numbers

In this unit, students will build a foundation in Spanish by learning basic greetings, classroom expressions, the days of the week, colors, and numbers. Students will practice listening and speaking through songs, games, partner activities, and short conversations. By the end of the unit, students will be able to greet others, identify basic colors and numbers, and respond to simple classroom questions.

Unit 2: All About Me / Todo Sobre Mí

In this unit, students will learn how to share basic information about themselves in Spanish. Students will practice introducing themselves, talking about their favorite colors, foods, animals, and activities, and asking classmates simple questions. Students will have opportunities to practice speaking with partners and small groups while building confidence using complete Spanish phrases.

Unit 3: My Classroom & School / Mi Salón y Mi Escuela

In this unit, students will learn vocabulary for common classroom objects, school supplies, and places around school. Students will practice identifying objects, following simple classroom directions, and using phrases such as Necesito un lápiz and ¿Puedo ir al baño? Through interactive activities, students will continue developing listening comprehension and everyday communication skills.
