Welcome Kinder Friends and Families!

In my classroom I like to focus on the Westlake Charter School Core Values of Joyful Learning, Inquiry, Respect, Responsibility and Perseverance. I believe kindergarten is a time of exploration. The classroom is designed to be warm and welcoming to every student. The learning day is structured so that each student knows what to expect and what is expected of them. It is a safe place for them to create, develop social and emotional skills, and build their individual personalities all while learning the foundations of reading, writing, and math. We dive into social studies and science with units such as Force and Motion, People Who Make a Difference, Weather, and Kinder-Garden Biology. The day is also filled with music, movement, art and play time! Family support is crucial during these developing times and I am happy to work with families to make their student's learning experience the best it can be. Thank you and Let's Explore!
