Week 24
Dear Kindergarten Families,
We had such a wonderful first week back from break! The children came in smiling and ready to learn. We spent time reviewing and practicing our classroom procedures to help everyone remember our routines and expectations. They did a fantastic job getting back into the swing of things! We also started to learn about Growth Mindset through videos each morning.
This week we also began an exciting new unit about animals and their needs. The class was very eager to learn about how animals stay safe, find food, and build shelters. We had great discussions and shared so many thoughtful ideas. It’s always so fun to see their curiosity shine!
In writing, we worked on practicing sentence structure. We focused on making complete sentences and remembering important parts like capital letters and punctuation. I am so proud of their hard work and growing confidence as writers!
We also enjoyed our visit to the library. The students were so excited to choose books! If your child brought their library book home, please make sure it comes back to school next Thursday so everyone can continue enjoying new stories.
Looking ahead to next week, we will have Student-Led Conferences. Your child will be showing you what they have been learning this trimester. Please remember that we will have early dismissal at 1:00 PM all week.
