I am very excited to embark on my 12th year of teaching 1st Grade at Westlake Charter School!  Being a teacher is a dream come true for me, and WCS is a wonderful school with great people to work with.  

I am committed to creating an accepting and inspirational learning environment that allows students to explore and gain knowledge through self-exploration which will in turn produce a positive and successful academic environment.  I hope to inspire my students to become life long lovers of learning!

 I was born and raised in Rocklin, and I am very thankful that I have been afforded the opportunity to remain in the Sacramento area. I graduated from CSU-Sacramento with my BA in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education), and Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Apparel Marketing Design. After graduating, I was a substitute teacher before entering the Teaching Credential Program at CSU-Sacramento. I then earned my  Master of Arts in Education from Brandman University. When I am not teaching your fantastic 1st Graders, I enjoy playing with my Basset Hound puppy (Jethro), reading, bargain hunting, crafting, sewing, swimming, going shopping, spending time with my husband, family, and friends!
