Meet your Counselors

Hola Explorers! I love being one of Westlake Charter School’s K-8 counselors! I am honored to work with and advocate on behalf of our students in helping them become their best selves. This is my seventh year working at Westlake and thirteenth year as a school counselor. I grew up in Oregon but have also lived in the Midwest and in Washington D.C. I received my B.A. in anthropology and Spanish from Washington University in St. Louis, and my M.A in School Counseling from the University of Maryland. 

In my free time you may find me spending time in nature with my family, whipping up tasty creations in the kitchen, or curling up on the couch reading science fiction. A fun fact about me is that my family is from Argentina which means you are likely to see me drinking yerba mate, a traditional green tea from that region.

Hola Explorer’s! I am super excited to be one of Westlake Charter School’s K-8 counselors! This is my first year as a school counselor, however, some families and  students may know me already as I completed my counseling internship at WCS during the 2023-24 school year. I was born in a small town, Colusa, CA and was raised in lovely Sacramento for most of my childhood. I have received my B.A. in Psychology from Sacramento State University, and earned my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in school counseling from The University of San Francisco!

In my free time I love spending time with my loved ones and my dog. I enjoy traveling, trying new foods and coffee shops. A fun fact about me is that I have traveled to Cambodia with the McGrath Fellowship Program at the University of San Francisco and presented lessons to educators on mental health! 

Hola Explorers! I am so excited to be one of your School Counselors at Westlake Charter High School. This is my third year at Westlake, but my fifth year as a school counselor. I grew up in a small town in Yolo County, but began spending the majority of my time in the Sacramento area once I began going to college. I am a Sacramento State Alumni, Go Hornets! I earned my B.A. in Child Development with a minor in Counseling in 2018 and my M.S. in Counseling with a specialization in School Counseling in 2021. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones and creating memories. I love traveling and exploring new places, and trying new foods! A fun fact about me is that I was the first in my family to earn a Masters degree! I look forward to working with our students, families, and staff at Westlake!

I grew up in a small town in Humboldt County, but now love living in Sacramento! I received my B.A. in Psychology from Sonoma State University, and my M.A. in Counseling Psychology with concentrations in School Counseling and Clinical Counseling from University of San Francisco!

In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, staying active, baking, and spening time outdoors. I enjoy running, hanging out with my dog, and spending as much time as I can on the lake - fun fact, I also have my boating license! I am looking forward to this school year and cannot wait to learn and grow together.
