Principality of the Mists- Mists Spring Coronet 2026
The Prince Zhigmun’ & Princess Lia of the Mists cordially invite you to the Spring Coronet to determine their heirs. Spring Coronet will be held at Bolado Park in Tres Pinos, CA, from March 27 to March 29, 2026.

Spring Coronet:
Competition One ~ Iberian Peninsula 722-1492
The Iberian Peninsula, place of wonder, place of cultures, center of art and science.
Starting with the Battle of Covandanga, 722, until the Reconquista, 1492. You are invited to explore the Arts and Sciences of the myriad cultures, time periods, and the societies that interacted with the Iberian Peninsula during this time to bring more Beauty and Knowledge to the Principality of the Mists.
Competition Two ~ African Kingdoms 756-1031
Explore the African Kingdoms, their trade routes and connections with the Caliphate of Cordoba, and the rest of the known world of the time, 756-1031. Delve into the arts and sciences of varied Kingdoms and cultures using research and creativity to bring Beauty and Knowledge to the Mists.
Mists Silver Spoon 2026: The Great Feast-Appetizers
Spring Coronet:
Greetings from your Silver Spoon Minister, Mdm Ghislaine! 1. This is a self judged competition. The entrants will sit together and present their entry/entries. They will then discuss and ask/answer questions of the other entrants while sampling their creations. They will then decide together who the winner of that day is. If there is a tie, then it will be taken to Their Highnesses of the Mists who will make the final decision. 2. My requirement. If you choose to enter more than one Silver Spoon competition this year, try a new recipe with each event. And if you entered last year's run, try something new than what you have submitted before. Cooks and diners love variety!
Now on to the theme for the year: The Great Feast. You are in charge of a great feast. However, you want to try out some recipes before the big day. You have a year to test them out to see which ones show you in your best light. Mists Spring Coronet - Appetizers - What would you create to start off a feast? Think small plates. Amuse bouche. Things that whet the appetite, but don't fill you up so you miss out on the rest of the dishes. Think meatballs or stuffed eggs. Maybe small fruit pies or tarts. Perhaps an assortment of pickled vegetables or stuffed grape leaves. Below are links to help folks find and play with recipes ahead of time. But you are certainly not limited these resources. Go out and explore your local library or other internet sites.
