It shall be the right of the Sovereign Consort of the Mists during Their reign to choose a Champion who shall defend Their honor and come to Their aid should it become necessary and within their power.”
Greetings to the populace of the Principality of the Mists!
The Lady of the Mists, Lia, wishes to hold a grand competition to select Her Princess’s
Champion for Her reign.
To that end, at Mists Investiture on Saturday, November 22, following Investiture court there
shall be a GRAND MUSTACHE COMPETITION!!!
Those bearing a mustache, home-grown or proudly adorned, will be eligible to enter this
competition. You need not be a fighter to enter, but you must understand that, if chosen, you will be expected to defend the consort’s honor against other lesser mustachioed individuals.
**NOTE: Those wishing to participate, but who do NOT wish to contend, are welcomed to enter the challenge.
There will be many categories for those who wish to showcase their wondrous bristles and Her Excellency cannot wait to be astounded by the display.
More announcements will be posted soon!

The last two Arts and Sciences competitions for this year will be held at Investiture on November 22:
Competition Seven: Castles & Cottages
The magical home sets the stage for many myths, be it a home made of gingerbread, a legendary castle filled with knights, or a witch’s house on chicken feet wandering the forest. Artisans are encouraged to research and depict a residence from myth, and share what makes a home magical.
Competition Eight: Ships & Sirens
Adventure awaits on the high seas, but hazards in the form of sirens, sea monsters, and dreadful storms also tread these waters. Artisans are tasked with locating these watery hazards by exploring myths, creating maps, or otherwise investigating what troubles may await the populace of the Mists, lest they encounter rough waters.

Silver Spoon
Rhyme or Reason (as in none)
Event Theme: A Grand Affair.
It is coming on to winter and the royals are arriving soon to attend the celebrations in the halls. What one or more dishes would you craft to impress them. Consider this as something that would make a person smile. A dish for a festive season. Be creative..
and
I would love to see folks look beyond the standard Western European fare.
The Middle Ages is so much more.
Notes:
This is a self-judged competition. The entrants will sit together and present their entry/entries. They will then discuss and ask/answer questions of the other entrants while sampling their creations. They will then decide together who the winner of that day is. If there is a tie, then it will be taken to Their Highnesses of the Mists who will make the final decision.
My requirement. If you choose to enter more than one Silver Spoon competition this year, try a new recipe with each event. And if you entered last year's run, try something new than what you have submitted before. Cooks and diners love variety!
Competition will be most likely held during the break between Final Court and Investiture Court. Listen for the heralds announcement.
Please make sure you have your ingredient list handy for food allergy purposes.
Please remember anything you might need to serve your dish.

Dance
Join the ever-graceful Crystal of the Westermark, our resident Salitrix for a lively dance class followed by a friendly (but fabulous!) dance competition. Come learn some steps, show off your style, and maybe even twirl your way to glory!
Bardic
Follow the sound of song! During the break between courts, gather ‘round for an informal Bardic Circle, where tales are told, songs are sung, and all are welcome to share or simply bask in the joy of music and merriment.
