Mrs. Sharp is the school counselor at West Jefferson Middle School. The counseling program at WJMS is available to help students, parents, and teachers develop positive learning experiences. The goal of our program is to encourage students’ social, emotional, and personal growth. The program consists of a variety of services and activities, including individual and group counseling, parent and teacher consultation, group guidance, information services, and referral assistance to other programs/services in the community.
Mrs. Sharp can help parents with topics such as, but are not limited to:
- Answering questions regarding your child’s schedule
- Discussing concerns about your child’s grades
- Coordinating communication between parents and the teachers
- Setting up a meeting with parents and the teachers
- Referring parents to community programs and resources
- Progress Book Concerns/Scheduling Questions
