About Mrs. Meyer

My name is Sandra Meyer and I am the K-6 Elementary Librarian and the K-8 Computer Science Teacher.  I also supervise 2 JH/HS study halls.

I was born and raised a few miles out of Naper, Nebraska, and graduated from Naper High School in 1981.

I went to Wayne State College where I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and Special Education Mild/Moderate in 1986.  My first teaching job was at St. John the Baptist School in Petersburg, Nebraska, in the fall of 1986, as the 7th & 8th grade teacher as well as jr. high coach.

I moved to Atkinson, Nebraska, in the fall of 1989 and I began teaching at Atkinson Jr. High as the 7-8 Special Education teacher as well as the Jr. High Volleyball Coach. My duties changed over the years as I became the K-8 computer teacher as well as the K-8 librarian.

I met my husband, Fred Meyer, in the spring of 1992 and we were married on November 21, 1992.   We have three children and three granddaughters.

I went back to college around 1997 to get my Library Science Endorsement through the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I finished my endorsement in 1999.

In about 2005, I decided to go back to college again to get my master's degree. In December 2009, I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Master's Degree in Library Science.
