The DAPS Mentoring program works to help Anthropology, Psychology, Social & Behavioral Health, and Sociology majors reach their future goals like getting a job or going to graduate school. The program organizes guest speaker panels with community members such as recent UWG alumni, graduate program heads, local employers, non-profit executives, directors of Government Service Organizations like DFCS, and more.

Careers Workshop Series
The Careers Online Workshop Series helps students choose careers and prepare successful job applications. No preparation is needed to attend any of the workshops, however, for best results, it is ideal if you can attend most if not all of the workshops. The workshops cover how to choose careers, how to build good resumes, write good resumes, write good cover letters, and how to succeed in job interviews. As part of the series, we will also hear from guest speakers such as recent UWG alumni discussing their transitions to the workforce, community leaders on how to be a good leader and what supervisors value in employees, as well as from more local employers on what they look for in job applications.

Getting Into Graduate School Workshop Series
The Getting Into Graduate School Online Workshop Series helps students choose a graduate program and prepare successful applications. No preparation is needed to attend any of the workshops, however, for best results, it is ideal if you can attend most if not all of the workshops. The workshops cover how to identify graduate programs that suit you best, how to build and write a good CV, and how to write good personal statements/statements of interest. As part of the series, we will also hear from guest speakers such as recent UWG alumni discussing their transitions to and experience in MA programs.
