West Geauga Bands 

All current Students and Parents - Google Classroom is set up for all of our band classes, and will be used for assignments, forms and announcements. If you are ever unable to access documents, we are happy to share them via email as well! Email Mr. Branch or Mrs. DeSapri anytime with questions or concerns!

Welcome! 

The West Geauga Bands are directed by Mr. Jason Branch and Mrs. Taylor DeSapri. Our band program includes 5th grade band, 6th grade band, 7th grade band, 8th grade band, MS Jazz Band, MS Solo and Ensemble, HS Marching Band (The WGMB!), Concert Band, Symphonic Band, HS Solo and Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Steel Band!

Each band participates in multiple performances per year, and our yearly schedules are available at each school's open house, posted in class, and on this site. Information for parents/students regarding performance times, locations, and required attire is available in the MS/HS band handbook (distributed in class and at open house). In class reminders will occur around event dates, and if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mr. Branch or Mrs. DeSapri via email.

Jason Branch is in his 13th year teaching at West Geauga. His duties include teaching all middle school bands, high school Symphonic Band, and high school music theory classes, as well as directing the marching band and jazz bands. Groups under his direction have performed in London England, at Severance Hall, Disney World, Chicago, Ohio State University, Cleveland State University, and in many OMEA Adjudicated Events. He has served OMEA as the District VII President from 2015-2017, and has worked with the OMEA All-State Ensembles for the past seven years. Mr. Branch holds degrees from The Ohio State University and Case Western Reserve University.

Taylor DeSapri is in her 7th year teaching at West Geauga, with 9 total years teaching. Her duties include teaching all middle school bands, 5th grade band, high school concert band, and steel band! The steel band is a newer ensemble that is looking for new exciting performance opportunities. Groups under her direction have performed in many OMEA Adjudicated Events. Mrs. DeSapri holds a music education degree from Miami University, and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Music Education at Case Western Reserve University.
