Welcome to 2nd Grade! It was great meeting everyone during Friday's supply drop-off event. Thank you for attending and donating classroom supplies. West G is in the process of implementing the Rooms app for communicating with families. During the first semester, I will be emailing you, as well as posting to the Rooms app, to keep you informed of classroom goals and events. If the email address we have on file needs to be updated, please let us know so we can ensure we are reaching you.

Just a few things before the first day of school:

Yellow Folder: For those that took home the yellow folder on Friday, this folder will be your child's "Take Home" folder and will go back and forth each day to and from school. Please complete the family survey that was inside, and return it to school in the yellow folder on Tuesday.
Water bottles: Students are encouraged to bring water bottles to school to stay hydrated throughout the day. Please try to send in water bottles with a mouthpiece and not just a cap with a wide opening. This will help to prevent water spills and keep us and our materials dry and safe in the classroom.
Snack: Snack is optional and is not provided by the school.For those students that do bring in a healthy snack, students can keep it in their book bag or lunch box until 11am, at which time we will take a brief snack break. Please try to keep the snack healthy and in manageable bite-size pieces such as sliced cucumbers, sliced apples, or pre-packaged snacks like Goldfish or crackers.Please do not send in anything that requires cutlery like applesauce, pudding or yogurt.

Save the dates for Wednesday, August 27 @ 7pm for the Wolverine Way Parent Night, as well as October 23 and 24 for Parent-Teacher conferences.
