3/27/26 Job opportunity to help at Stony Brook Track after school.
We have a student who needs some 1:1 support at Track. Track practice is Monday through Thursday from 2:30-4:00 at the Stony Brook track. There are track meets that take place at home or in other districts and the timing is until 5:30 for home meets or until 6:00 for away meets. 5/5/25. Help Wanted: WPS Summer Custodians/Maintenance and Grounds Laborers
Do you know a student age 16 or older who needs summer employment? We are looking to fill 23 spots for summer employment. The start date is on or around 6/23/2025. The hours are 7:00-3:30 Monday through Friday. The student will work in our schools helping our custodians get the buildings and grounds in tip-top shape for the 2025-2026 School Year. School Laborer Custodial (20 positions): Work performed but not limited to: Cleaning classrooms and buildings to include assisting in stripping and waxing floors as well as moving materials in and out of rooms. Thorough cleaning of each room to restore the area to optimal conditions.
Maintenance/Grounds Laborer (3 positions) Work performed but not limited to: Assisting the maintenance and grounds team with miscellaneous tasks designed to repair and fix conditions in and around the buildings. help the grounds crew as needed with the maintenance of landscaping. Deliver items from the maintenance shop to the corresponding schools - Drivers License is strongly preferred.

Stony Brook is looking to hire one or two people to provide after school support at track for some students. Track takes place Monday through Thursday and begins at 2:00 and ends at 3:30/3:45. On days when there is a track meet it goes past 3:45. For away meets, there would be a need to ride the bus to and from with the student(s) and support them at the meet. There is not a need for the support person to run and all events take place on the track and on the field within the track.

The summer dates are 06/23-8/15 or you can work a partial 4-week summer of the first four weeks (6/23-7/18) or the last four weeks (7/21-8/15).
