Biographies

John Brzozowski holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from James Madison University and a Masters in Music Education from Boston University. This is John’s 4th year as choral director at the high school, directing the Mixed Chorus, Bella Cora, Concert Choir and Chorale/Choraleers. Mr. Brzozowski is also the music director for the high school spring musical. He is grateful for the opportunity to work with the talented students in the fine arts program in Westfield. John resides in Linden, NJ, with his wife, Annie, and two children Jack and Emma Jean.

Maureen Francis holds a Bachelor of Music from Catholic University, a Masters of Music from Temple University and received her teaching certificate in Music Education from Kean University. A Westfield mom of two teen boys, Maureen is a professional opera singer with highlighted credits at LA Opera, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, as well as Bergen Opera (Norway), Lecco Festivale (Italy) and the Mumbai National Symphony in India. She was adjunct faculty at the University of Pennsylvania for 15 years and has enjoyed teaching teenagers voice and piano in her Westfield studio..
