About Mr. A

MY EXPERIENCE

My journey into education started in 2002. I gained valuable experience in grades K-8 and by 2004 began specializing in upper elementary eventually joining the Tamaques team in 2007. My degree in psychology comes from The College of New Jersey and my education certification is through Rider University. Prior to college, I was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ.

MY TEACHING

I utilize a variety of "best practices" to set high standards and specific expectations through focused, clear, and organized delivery. Some things to expect are a mixture of independent, partner, and group work; technology usage; positive reinforcement; realistic feedback; movement breaks; morning meeting, etc.

ABOUT ME

I live in Freehold, NJ with my wonderful wife Jodi, my incredible son Maximo, and my beautiful daughter Ella. You can find pictures of us by clicking here. My son is a HRHS (hypoplastic right heart syndrome) survivor and my wife is a cancer survivor.

When I have time for myself I love to run, practice karate, watch movies, and read. When I am not teaching in Westfield, you can find me teaching karate or coaching track in Freehold. You can find out more about my karate here.

CLOSING REMARK

I am honored to have the opportunity to help my students discover more about themselves, each other, and our world.
