Stop motion video- Take any frames you still need. You should have at least 100. To send the completed video to Mrs. Ciotti: Save the video to your google DRIVE (attached to your school account). In the upper right corner there will be a share botton that either says "SHARE" or is an icon of a person's head and shoulders. Share with my email tciotti@westfieldnjk12.org, and it will come to me no matter how large the file is. Have a great SUMMER! You will be 5th graders in a week!

If you are done with stop motion, and want something different skip this paragraph.
Stop Motion Animation FINAL PROJECT. Week 1 we will be planning (nothing to hand in) our last video. This week you will come up with a script of what will happen in your video. The theme is "Why Family is Important in a Pandemic". The final video should be 125 frames or clicks long. 125 frames is a little over a minute long for the final film. This week you plan. Next week you shoot 50 frames, week 3 you shoot 50 frames. Week 4 you shoot 25, and upload your film to Artsonia. Nothing is handed in until the last week. You can use drawings, you can use toys, you can use real people, whatever method you feel most comfortable with, we have sampled them all.

Today, we are headed back to the world of stop motion animation, with the Stop motion studio app. Today is really fun, and full of magic! You need a partner, so it can be done anytime this week, it doesn't have to be today, if your schedules don't allow. You can choose to be the camera operator OR the subject being filmed. If you have watercolors, you can use them, but experimenting with materials you can find, is more fun. Thick paper works best. You can use a recycled card that has some white, an envelope, a white box... be creative. This week’s assignment is to write to these residents with a picture and an uplifting saying like: “Be Strong”, “We are all in this together!”, “You have strength and courage!” , “Everything will be OK”, “Embrace your Dreams”, “This too shall pass”, “Live, Laugh, Love”, “You are loved.”, “Sending hugs your way!”. Or come up with a saying of your own. Sign it with your first name only, and your grade. Address it to:

Friday April 24-3rd Grade Art
Weaving
Just continue with your weaving, remember to SMOOSH! If you have smooshed all you can, your weaving is really tight, and your board is full, you have 2 options: #1 Relax. If you are done, that means you have spent 40 minutes a week, not 20. you are amazing. Take a break! OR #2 you can take your weaving off the board, and do another weaving. You are a weaving Dynamo, and you love it so much, you can't stop: weaving IS RELAXING to you. Go, be you. If you have yarn, twine, string, etc. Try it with that! Do you have an Idea to weave with something I didn't mention? Do it! We will be weaving for 2 more weeks. (after today).
This project is not due into Artsonia until May 8

Stop Motion Part 2
You don't need to hand anything in this week, you are just playing with the app today. This video comes after you have created your setting (background) and at least 2 characters. You have also uploaded the FREE "stop motion studio" app to a device. That was all last week. This is a simple lesson that creates a 5 second animation. I did social distancing as my topic, because it was simple. You can have any topic. It is a 20 minute project, including watching the video.

Thursday April 16- 4th Grade Art
Today we are starting our Stop-Motion Animation Unit- as we would, if we were in school. Nothing needs to be photographed or handed in today. Today could take 5 minutes, or an hour. However much time you want to spend is fine. You don't need to be elaborate. This is a fun project, not fancy (unless you want it to be fancy). Today is about setting and characters. There is no substituting another project for this one. You will have lots of free choice in this, so it's not necessary.
