Welcome to the Westfield Special Services Website!
The special services department in Westfield provides high quality education to students with disabilities to meet the district's mission and to ensure all students reach their highest potential. We strive to provide the Least Restrictive Environment possible for each individual student. Related services include physical therapy, speech-language therapy, occupational therapy and behavior therapy. Appropriate class setting and therapies are determined with the child study team at annual IEP meetings. The child study team (CST) consists of a school psychologist, school social worker and learning disabilities teacher consultant. One member of the child study team will be the student's case manager who oversees the students IEP and will be the point of contact for parents/guardians. Our child study team members, therapists and teachers are highly trained in best practices to ensure the growth and learning of our students. Each individual student is taken into account and the IEP is constantly reviewed to best fit the ever changing needs of the student.
