Welcome

Dear 1-L Students and Families,

Welcome to 1st grade and welcome to Jefferson!  I am very happy that you will be part of 1-L this year!  I hope you had a great summer! I am looking forward to hearing about all of the fun you and your families have been having. Also, I am so excited to learn all about you!

You are going to love 1st grade! I have many terrific and exciting things planned for you this year at Jefferson! You will grow as a reader, writer, scientist, mathematician and world traveler!  You will make new friends and be an important part of our wonderful 1-L classroom community.  Our days will be filled with smiles, kindness, friendship, hard work, adventure and excitement.

I can’t wait to get back to school and meet you!  Please carefully read our supply list and bring these items on the first day of school or to our Meet and Greet.  Please try and label all of your supplies with your name.  Please also bring a filled bottle of water, lunch and a healthy snack with you on the first day of school.  We will have PE on our first day, so please wear or bring sneakers.
