Welcome

Dear 2-L Students and Families,

Welcome to 2nd grade!  I am thrilled that you will be part of 2-L this year!  I hope you had a great summer! I am looking forward to hearing about all of the fun you and your families have been having. I spent most of the summer with my family up on Lake Ontario and getting our classroom ready for our new school year.

You are going to love 2nd grade! I have many terrific and exciting things planned for you this year at Jefferson! You will continue to explore and grow as a reader, author, illustrator, scientist, mathematician and world traveler.  You will make new friends and be an important part of our wonderful 2-L classroom community.  Our days will be filled with hard work, friendship, adventure and excitement.

I can’t wait to get back to school and see you!  Please carefully read our supply list and bring these items on the first day of school or to our Meet and Greet.  Please try and label all of your supplies with your name.  Please also bring a filled bottle of water, lunch and a healthy snack with you on the first day of school.  We will have PE on our first day, so please wear or bring sneakers.
