Algebra 2 Honors

Students extend their understanding of linear, exponential and quadratic functions, introduced in previous courses, to the study of polynomial, radical, rational and trigonometric functions. Mathematical modeling is used to represent real-world situations and solve problems. Statistical reasoning is employed to evaluate outcomes of experiments, make inferences and draw conclusions. The inter-disciplinary nature of mathematics is emphasized by applications to science and technology. Topics are covered in depth, with a focus on theoretical foundations.
