Dear 5th Graders and Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation!  I would like to take a moment to welcome you all to 5th grade!  For those who don’t know me, I have been part of the Jefferson family for 17 years.  This past year I have been home on maternity leave taking care of my son, Jake.  I also have a 6 year old daughter, Emily, who will be in 1st grade this year.  I have taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade for many years, and now this is my third year in 5th grade.  I am so excited to be your 5th grade teacher this year!  Some things that I LOVE about 5th grade (and I hope you will love too) are the books we read, the projects we get to work on, the experiments we will do, and all of the fun we will have along the way.   

I am so excited to see all of you and to hear all about your summers!  Enjoy the last few days of vacation, and get ready for some fun on the first day of school!  I have posted our supply list on my website, located on the top navigation bar.
