In Class, you will be receiving our textbook, Geometry for Enjoyment and Challenge, by McDougal and Littell which will be kept at home and used often throughout the year.

Supplies:

Each day, a student needs a pencil, a pen or colored pencil, a 150-250 sheet spiral notebook, and their math binder (or a section of a larger binder).  At home, students need access to a graphing calculator which could be a free online one though some may purchase a graphing calculator since it will be used more often in future math courses.

Geometry Honors Course Description:

Students study concepts of Euclidean geometry through the analysis of two- and three- dimensional figures. They make, test and establish the validity of geometric conjectures using logical reasoning and deduction. The inter-disciplinary nature of mathematics is emphasized by the integration of algebra with geometric concepts, as well as applications to art and science. Topics are covered in depth, with a focus on theoretical foundations.
