Nicole Scimone

English Department

Welcome to Ms. Scimone's website

It's so nice to have you in class!

Below, you will find my calendars (also viewable from Google Classroom) and some websites we will be using during class this year.

How to stay organized with assignments:

Using Google Classroom and checking your Westfield email address are the most important ways to stay organized this year.  I have posted the calendars from Google Classroom below as well.

And please communicate as much as you need-- Your WHS teachers are here to help you!

Please see my Back to School Night slideshow below to help you know more about our class this year.

Writing Center

The Writing Center is a really amazing resource!

WHS English teachers (not necessarily your English teacher) staff the space during periods  1, 3, 4, 5, 7, & 8  and in the spring, also during period 6.

There are 13 minute appointment slots.  You can walk in or make an appointment in advance. Appointments are recommended.  You show up to the appointment at the beginning, middle or end of the period you have off.  Come a few minutes early if possible.

We can help you with brainstorming an idea, revising a thesis, organization, citations, revision -- really any part of the process! We usually have time to help with only one page or so of an essay, so you can come early in your writing process to get some feedback, or once you have a complete draft.

We are located in the back of the library.  See you soon!
