Welcome to Fifth Grade!

Dear Fifth Graders,

Welcome to a brand-new school year! I am so excited to be your teacher, and I can’t wait to see all the wonderful learning, growth, and adventures we will share together in 5th grade. This year will be filled with curiosity, creativity, and lots of opportunities to challenge ourselves while having fun.

I had a busy and exciting summer. I choreographed The Little Mermaid at the CDC Musical Theater Camp — it was so much fun bringing the story to life through movement and music! I spent time hiking and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.
I visited with friends and family, which always makes my heart happy.
I also made time for one of my favorite hobbies — reading! I can’t wait to hear about the books you’ve enjoyed this summer, too.

As we start this year together, I want you to know that our classroom will be a place where it’s safe to take risks, try new things, and learn from mistakes. We will work hard, but we’ll also laugh, explore, and support each other every step of the way.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you and hearing about your own summer adventures.
