ALL-CITY BAND

General Information

All-City Band includes students from all six elementary schools in Westfield selected by audition. The band performs at the All-City Music Festival Concert in June each year with the All-City Chorus and All-City Orchestra.

Audition materials are distributed during band class and the audition process begins mid-February.

  • Do I have to audition? No. Auditioning for the All-City Band is voluntary though highly encouraged! It is an honor and a great opportunity to be selected as a member of this group!

  • How many students are selected to be in All-City Band? Depending on instrumentation needs, roughly 75 students, with numbers varying between all six elementary schools.

  • Who is the All-City Band Director? Both Mr. Steven Stouffer; Band Director of Jefferson and Wilson Schools, and Mr. Aaron Staluppi; Band Director of McKinley and Franklin Schools.

  • Where are the rehearsals? Wilson School

  • When are the rehearsals? Monday mornings, 7:30AM-8:30AM

  • Can I be in All City Band, Orchestra and Chorus? Yes. In fact, you can participate in all three.

  • When are the auditions? In February around the time of Valentine's Day.

  • Where are the auditions? In the same room students have their instrument lessons.

  • When do we find out who made it in? Around the end of February or the first week of March-- once auditions for all six elementary schools are complete!
