ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
Hello! I am Mrs. Lopez, Student Assistance Counselor (SAC) at Westfield High School! I will be educating our students and staff through school-wide events, lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling to support students to be successful learners who foster meaningful relationships among their peers, teachers, and their community while building confidence and resiliency to face life's challenges.
I am a deeply empathetic and passionate individual who has counseling experience with different stages of life (most importantly teenagers) from different races, ethnicities, gender identities/expressions, sexual orientation, religion/spirituality, education levels, and socioeconomic statuses. I see each student as a unique individual moving through life at their own pace. My office is a judgment-free zone and safe space for WHS students.
I also have almost a decade of experience working in various social service agencies, educational settings, and mental health organizations, giving me extensive knowledge of how each system operates and intertwines with one another, making me a strong advocate for students and families.
Overall, I am stoked to be part of the vehicle that shines a light on mental wellness in the lives of WHS students, families, staff, and the Westfield community. Stay tuned!
