Geometry

Period 3

Course Description:

Students study concepts of Euclidean Geometry and the elements of logic.  There is a focus on precise use of language and careful application of the deductive process.  There is limited emphasis on formal proofs and more embedded review of previously-taught concepts as students learn about the characteristics of shapes in two- and three- dimensional space and are introduced to basic geometric constructions.  Scientific calculators are used regularly.
