All City Chorus FAQs

1. Who can audition?

All 5th grade students

2. How do I audition for All-City Chorus, Band, or Orchestra?
Chorus: All chorus students will have a mid year choral evaluation as a benchmark assessment in January. All 5th grade students should fill out the audition application and indicate interest in ensemble preference if accepted. Your music teacher will listen to you sing simple patterns and a short excerpt from the winter concert repertoire.

3. Who are the All-City directors?
Chorus: Mr. Brent Geyer and Ms. Christina Toulios

4. Where are the rehearsals held?
Franklin and McKinley Schools

5. When are the rehearsals?
Rehearsals take place before school (approximately 7:30–8:30 a.m.), beginning in March.
Chorus: Tuesdays and Thursdays, Orchestra: Wednesdays, Band: Wednesdays

6. When is the concert?
Wednesday, June 3rd, 7 pm,  WHS auditorium

7. Can I be in both the All-City Chorus and the All-City Band or Orchestra?
No. New this year, students may participate in only one All-City ensemble. Students are welcome to audition for multiple ensembles.  Please indicate your preference on the audition application.

8. When will we find out the results?
Results will be posted at 3:15 p.m. on February 13. They will be posted on this page above by student ID number.
