Our Robotics curriculum is achieved via the use of LEGO MINDSTORMS ROBOTICS Kits. Students will learn the basics of robotics by building and coding. Students will get the opportunity to build about five different robots which they then program to carry our various tasks. They also spend their class periods solving problems and challenges through coding activities that advance throughout the course. Our class curriculum includes the following:

• What is a Robot?

• Drive Train and Turning Components (Point Turn, Pivot, Curve Turns, Steering etc.)

• Gears / Gear Trains

• Sensors

  • Touch

  • Color

  • Ultrasonic

  • Gyro

• Using Gears on X,Y Axis to Change Rotation Direction

• Flow Control

• Industrial Design Process (Ideation through Creation including Failure and Rebuild/Reprogram)
