Earth Science Period 2

Earth Science is course designed to provide students with an understanding of Earth Systems. Topics studied include areas of meteorology, geology, astronomy, climatology, and oceanography.  Science skills previously developed in the intermediate school are strengthened.  These skills focus on the ability to develop understanding through collecting and evaluating information, questioning, modeling, planning investigations, analyzing data, constructing explanations, and engaging in argumentation.  Earth Science places an additional focus on developing organizational and critical thinking skills.
