Participation is a fun and easy way for kids to earn free books. They simply read a designated number of books – library books, books borrowed from friends or books bought at Barnes & Noble – write about their favorite part in our Reading Journal, and bring a completed Reading Journal to a Barnes & Noble bookstore. Children then choose their free book from the books listed on the Reading Journal and collect their free book from a store near them during July and August. *Only for grades 1-6* BN Summer Reading
Sync has a summer reading program just for teens that will give them two free audiobooks each week this summer. Perfect for both on-the-go and on the couch reading. Each week they offer a current YA book as well as a classic title that teens will be able to download for free through the SORA /OverDrive app. Visit: https://www.audiobooksync.com/
Half Price book store summer reading program is called “Feed Your Brain” Summer Reading Program where they encourage kids to read 15 minutes each day in the summer.
The program has two categories: Kids 14 and under and Teens.
Kids log their reading time and can trade in their log for “bookworm bucks” to use toward the purchase of items in the store.
Once your kids log 300 minutes on their summer reading log, take it in to claim their “bookworm bucks.”
