Accounting

This course introduces students to the process of identifying, recording and communicating economic information about a business organization. It is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of accounting concepts and procedure. This course includes topics such as the accounting cycle, cash and credit transactions, inventory control, depreciable assets, financial statements and issuing stock and paying dividends. Students also develop an understanding of the financial activities of both service and merchandising businesses. This course includes the investigation of corporate accounting scandals and ethics. This full year course is comparable to the Financial Accounting course college students majoring in Accounting or Business are required to take.Â
