Dear 4th and 5th graders,
Below are the numbers of students who made it into McKinley Melodies this year. As we talked about in school, please understand that if you did not get in it does not mean you do not have a beautiful voice! There were over 50 students who auditioned this year. 4th graders, please come back and audition again next year because every year 5th graders make it in after not making it in 4th grade. 5th graders, if you didn’t make it in we are still going to have a great year with 5th Grade Chorus and there will be a lot of opportunities for you to sing in small groups and solos. For 5th graders we will also have All City Chorus in the spring and every year 5th graders that didn’t make McKinley Melodies get accepted into All City. You should all be very proud of yourselves having the courage to audition, which I know can be scary. Everyone did a great job and everyone who auditioned had a great voice! Congratulations to our new members, we will have our first rehearsal during recess on Monday, September 30th.
