In the Algebra 2 Honors course, students will extend their understanding of linear, exponential and quadratic functions, introduced in previous courses, to the study of polynomial, radical , rational and trigonometric functions. Mathematical modeling is used to represent real-world situations and solve problems. Statistical reasoning is employed to evaluate outcomes of experiments, make inferences and draw conclusions. The interdisciplinary nature of mathematics is emphasized by applications to science and technology.
The Algebra 2 Honors course is intended for independent learners with an outstanding mathematical background and excellent algebraic and geometric skills.
