Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship

Award:  $1,000-$10,000 Deadline:  November 12, 2025

The Elks National Foundation (ENF) awards 500 four-year scholarships based on academics, leadership, and financial need. National awards range from $1,000 per year to $7,500 per year. The national awards will be announced in April 2026. Our local lodge will award $10,000 in scholarships to applicants selecting BPO Elks 129 of Washington Court House.  MVS scholarships are for high school seniors who plan to pursue a four-year degree on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 semester hours), at a U.S. college or university starting in 2026-27. Some important applicant details include:

«  Current high school seniors (or equivalent) who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.

«  Applicants do not have to be related to a member of the Elks.

«  Male and female students compete separately. 

Applicants select from a list of the Lodges closest to their home address zip code. Students, please choose BPO Elks 129 as their sponsoring Lodge.

Arcadis Scholarship

Award:  $1,500 Deadline:  May 2, 2025

In our ongoing support of higher education in southern and southeastern Ohio, for the 25th consecutive year, Arcadis will award scholarships to high school seniors with a goal of fostering college participation.  This year, Arcadis is offering two scholarships in the amount of $1,500. ArtsaRound Scholarship 

Award:  $1,000 Deadline:  May 2, 2025

ArtsaRound is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a Pickaway County high school senior who will pursue professional instruction in any form of art at the post-secondary level.  This includes majors or minors in art-related fields of study or certificates in art-related careers, such as music, theatre, art therapy, digital game design, film production, animation, fashion design, set design, art restoration, etc. ArtsaRound Application.

Balanced Man Scholarship (University of Cincinnati) "NEW"

Award:  $1,000 (3 available) Deadline:  June 30, 2025

Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity (SigEp) is founded on the principle that it will always strive to be different. SigEp is one of the largest and most intelligent national fraternities in the country, boasting 285,000 lifetime members, 15,000 undergraduate members and over a 3.0 average GPA. At the undergraduate level, SigEps have consistently outperformed every fraternity in academics. SigEp alumni established the first Educational Foundation of any fraternity. Don Bucher Memorial Scholarship (PCCF)

Finch Connection Scholarship

The Finch Connection is offering a scholarship for any Westfall senior who is interested in pursuing a career in Real Estate or Business.  Please complete the Finch Connection Scholarship Application.  Please return the application packet to the College Career Center by April 25, 2025.

Ted Lewis Memorial Music Scholarship

Award:  $1,000                                       Deadline: April 17, 2025

This year the Ted Lewis Museum will be offering a single $1,000.00 scholarship to graduating seniors pursuing further education in the fields of music education, music performance, musical theater, or music technology. All applicants will be required to submit an audition CD along with the application. To apply, complete the Ted Lewis Memorial Music Scholarship. American Legion Post 134 Scholarship 

Award:  $1,000 / $500 Deadline:  Postmarked by April 17, 2025 by noon

The American Legion Post 134 is offering two scholarships to high school seniors in Pickaway County.  The winner and runner-up award will be given in honor of those who have served in our United States Military.  The student must be children, grandchildren or the sibling of an honorably discharged veteran or family member on active military duty.  To apply complete the American Legion Post 134 Application  All applications must be returned to the Guidance Office by April 17, 2025 by noon.

Kingston National Bank Scholarship "NEW"

Kingston National Bank is offering three $1000.00 scholarships to qualified graduating seniors who intend to pursue a college education in the fall of 2025. Applicants must be accepted by accredited institutions of higher learning for a two or four year degree and must be a graduate of the following schools: Amanda Clearcreek, Circleville, Logan Elm, Teays Valley, New Hope Christian Academy or Westfall.  To apply complete the Kingston National Bank Scholarship Application   Note: This application includes a form to be completed by the guidance office.  Applications must be turned in to the Guidance Office by April 11, 2025. 

Berger Hospital Gift Shop Scholarship (Must be pursuing career in the Medical Field)

Award:  $500            Deadline:  April 11, 2025

The Berger Hospital Gift Shop Board is pleased to announce that they will again award four $500 scholarships to qualified students who intend to pursue a career in the medical field in the Fall. The applicant must be a graduating Senior enrolled in one of the following schools: Circleville, Logan Elm, Teays Valley or Westfall. Students from those districts attending their associated vocational school are also eligible, but must apply in their home school. Monroe Alumni Association Scholarship 

Award:  $500                                           Deadline:  April 11, 2025 (Note:  Senior must live in Monroe Twp)

The association will award one $500 scholarship to a Westfall senior from Monroe Township. It is to be used for educational expenses at any approved college, university or technical institution. To apply, complete the  Monroe Alumni Association Scholarship .  Application must be turned in to the Guidance Office by April 11, 2025.

The Hope for our Future Scholarship (Adena Foundation)

Tristan Miller Music Scholarship "NEW"

The Tristan Miller Music Scholarship Fund is offering five $500 scholarships to qualified graduating high school seniors who intend to pursue a college education in the fall of 2021. Applicants must be accepted by an accredited institution of higher learning for a two or four-year degree. DONALD H KEMPTON SCHOLARSHIP "NEW"

The Donald H. Kempton Memorial Scholarship is given in memory of Donald H. Kempton.  He was a father, teacher, coach, successful dairy farmer and  Christian man, he inspired many by the example he set to put forth the effort to do the very best you can at everything you do He did not know the word QUIT until the work was done, nor the words QUIT TRYING until the victory was won. He graduated from Ohio Northern University and taught in Columbiana County until he lost his hearing and then moved to Williamsport to begin his second career as a very successful Jersey dairy farmer and raise his family of 4 children. He believed in young people and education and it was his wish to continue to help others in getting an education. This scholarship has been awarded continuously since 1986. Turney and Lucille Renick Scholarship (The Dayton Foundation) ""NEW"

The Turney and Lucille Renick Scholarship was established for graduates of Westfall High School in Pickaway County, Ohio who are deserving students with financial need who plan to attend an accredited 4-year college or university.  To apply: Complete the Renick Scholarship Application  The application packet is due to the Guidance Office no later than April 4th, 2025 by 2:30 pm.

The Pickaway Community Band Scholarship "NEW"

Award:  $500 Deadline:  April 4, 2025

The Circleville Pumpkin Show Community Band is a community instrumental group with members of various ages. The band performs at numerous functions in central Ohio each year. The members are dedicated to a lifelong commitment to music and the joy that it brings to themselves and to the community. The purpose of this scholarship is to help high school instrumental music students further their education and to encourage them to continue to participate in musical ensembles in their adult years. The recipient does not need to pursue a major in music because the band members realize that most community instrumentalists have pursued other careers and dedicate their spare time to music. UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship 

Award:  $5,000 (30 available) $10,000 (3 available) Deadline Extended: March 31, 2025 

Since 2005, UCB, Inc. has awarded over $3 million to more than 600 deserving individuals, including people with epilepsy, their immediate family members, and caregivers, who have applied their awards to undergraduate and graduate studies.  In 2024, they will be awarding 33 one-time scholarships to students who are studying to receive a post-high school degree. Thirty scholarships of up to $5,000 each and three scholarships of up to $10,000 each will be awarded to applicants who demonstrate academic and personal achievement.  Applicants may obtain program information and apply online by creating an account at UCB Epilepsy Scholarship.

The Tzu Chi USA Scholarship is a scholarship program funded by Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation to recognize and provide financial assistance to outstanding college-bound high school graduates and continuing undergraduate students who were prior recipients in selected areas of the United States.  The Shea Award honors a senior scholar-athlete and carries a $250.00 scholarship renewable for four years.  The recipient must be a senior Honor Roll Student, active in the church of their choice and have earned at least one varsity letter.  You will need to print the James T Shea Scholarship Application and Forms. Circleville Noon Rotary Club - J.B. Stout Trust Fund Scholarship 

Award: $1,000 each year for first two years of college Deadline:  March 21, 2025 by NOON

This scholarship, currently at $1,000 for each of two years, is awarded to deserving graduating seniors from high schools in Pickaway County.  Preference is given to students who plan to pursue technical or vocational education.  Since it's inception in 1988, over $300,000 in scholarships have been awarded.  To apply complete the J.B. Vinton County National Bank (NEW 24-25)

Award:  $5,000 Deadline: March 15, 2025

The VCNB wishes to recognize local high school seniors in their market area (Pickaway County) who possess our bank's core values. Students will be evaluated on the BCNB values of Integrity, Leadership, Progress, Relationships, and Community. In April, one student from each local school with eligible entries will be featured on our social media and eligible for a prize ($500 Visa Gift Card) based on social media followers participation. A final overall scholarship winner will be awarded the big scholarship from the pool of monthly featured students. Winners will be announced May 2025. SMPS Columbus Scholarship 

Award:  (2) $500 Deadline:  March 14, 2025

In 2017, the Columbus Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) started a Scholarship program to benefit learners at multiple stages throughout their education and career and have since awarded $51,500 in scholarships.  The applicants should be planning to continue their education at a two- or four-year college, university or trade school in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Marketing related fields and have at least a 3.0 GPA.  Additionally, scholarship recipients will be offered the opportunity to be paired with SMPS Columbus members to discuss their career path, networking, resume preparation, and related matters within the AEC industry, as well as receive a student membership to SMPS Columbus.  Students will be notified of award by the end of March.  The deadline to apply is March 14, 2025.  To apply complete the SMPS Columbus Scholarship Application. The Columbus Foundation is the administrator for Floyd E. and Mary Irene Younkin Scholarship fund of Pickaway County Community Foundation. Willam Ammer Memorial Education Trust Fund Scholarship (Columbus Foundation)

The Columbus Foundation is the administrator for the William Ammer Memorial Educational Trust Fund of the Pickaway County Community Foundation.  This scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Circleville City Schools, Logan Elm City Schools, Teays Valley Local Schools and Westfall School District.  Candidates must be pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited public or nonprofits independent college or university in the United States. Amanda Rush Scholarship (Columbus Foundation) - (Culinary or Hospitality) 

Award:  $2,500                  Deadline : March 1, 2025 by 5:00 PM

This fund was established to celebrate the life of Amanda Rush who tragically died on October 23, 2020. Amanda worked at White Castle for 14 years, working her way up to manager. This scholarship will support central Ohio restaurant employees or students going to school for restaurant management or hospitality.  Must reside in Central Ohio. Jones Family Scholarship (Columbus Foundation) - Columbus State Community College

Barri established this scholarship in honor of her parents, Donald and Patsy Jones, who supported education as a way to improve and enrich lives. Better World Scholarship (Columbus Foundation) 

Award:  $1,000                Deadline : March 1, 2025 by 5:00 PM

The scholarship encourages women to acquire a degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field. The donor’s bachelor’s degree is in mathematics, followed 15 years later with a master’s degree in business administration. Her degree in mathematics provided opportunities for jobs in software development and application, medical research, technical documentation, organizational education and training, scientific research, and business. Her career was challenging, dynamic, encouraged creativity, never boring, offered schedule flexibility that allowed her to parent her four children, provided career choice independence, and was lucrative. Ben Kasler Memorial Fund (BKMF) Scholarship 

Award:  $1,000   (Renewable for two additional years)                Deadline:  March 1, 2025

The Ben Kasler Memorial Fund is offering a scholarship of $1000 or more to at least one Pickaway County High School senior athlete who demonstrates qualities required to further his/her education in a technical institution, adult training program, college or university of their choice. An application packet including a copy of your high school transcript, two letters of recommendation, a list of extracurricular activities, a list of community activities, a brief statement summarizing career goals and a completed application must be mailed to BKMF Office, 127 Park Street, Circleville, OH 43133 post marked no later than March 1st.  To apply complete the BKMF Scholarship 

The Jude Little Memorial Foundation Scholarship 

Award:  $1,000                   Deadline:  March 1, 2025

Jude Little was a Freshman at Unioto High School when he passed away at just 15 years old.  He was an athlete, an academic scholar, and an amazing human!  This scholarship has been created in his honor.  His character was exemplary, and he stood out above the crowd and had a positive impact on everyone that he encountered.  They want to choose a student who lives his/her in the same manner that Jude did.   Submit the Jude Little Scholarship Application  packet to the Guidance Office by March 1, 2024 by 2:30 pm.

Eleanor McDill Tootle Scholarship 

Award: $TBD by Selection Committee Deadline: March 1, 2025 (Turn in to the Guidance Office)  

Eleanor M. Tootle was a dedicated teacher in the Chillicothe City Schools and was born, raised, and educated in the City of Circleville. It was her wish that a scholarship be established to assist graduating Pickaway County and Ross County seniors planning to pursue coursework beyond high school. It is in her memory that these scholarships are awarded. Scholarships will be awarded annually on the basis of merit, those judged to have merit and evidence of financial need. Ohio Conservation League Scholarship 

Award:  $2000 (divided between 2 to 4 recipients) Deadline:  March 3, 2025

The Child Conservation League Scholarships are awarded to senior students attending any Pickaway County High School (Circleville, Westfall, Logan Elm, Teays Valley, New Hope Christian Academy) or who are home schooled.   All applications will be judged on student merit, extracurricular achievements, essay content, application appearance, and results of a personal interview with the scholarship committee members. 

• Complete applications include: the 2-page questionnaire, official transcript, (2) letters of recommendation and the completed essay question

• Scholarship winners will be notified prior to your Senior Awards Night but the scholarship and monies will be given at that time.

• This year, we are giving a total of $2000 in scholarship money; however, it is divided by an undisclosed number of applicants (some years it has been 2, some 4, it just depends on the candidates).

Elaine Weinman Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to graduating high school senior to use in securing an education beyond high school in the field of Communications, limited to radio, television, drama, speech, or journalism, from an accredited Ohio college, university or technical school. 

Annette Phelps Lincoln Scholarship

This scholarship is named in honor of the first president of the Ohio Federation of Women's Clubs.  This scholarship is available to graduating high school senior for use in securing education in Teaching or Library professions at an Ohio college or university of the student's choice.  

Ethel G. Swanbeck Allied Health Scholarship

This scholarship is available to graduating high school senior pursuing a course in the study of Allied Health field at and Ohio College or university of the student's choice.  The applicant may use the scholarship for a degree as a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, veterinarian, X-ray technician, laboratory technician, etc.

Builders Exchange Scholarship

Ohio Township Association Scholarship (NEW 24-25)

Award: $1,500 (5 Available)               Deadline: January 31, 2025

The Ohio Township Association Scholarship Program began in 2005. Many years prior to this, former board member Paul Smith and his wife, Ethel, gave the initial donation to the OTA Scholarship Fund, providing the groundwork for future scholarships. The scholarships are also funded by donations from county township associations, personal gifts, and proceeds from the OTA's annual golf outing. This year, we will be awarding up to five high school seniors $1,500 each for their future education. There are three different scholarships available:

OSDAR Wings of Eagles Scholarship

Franklin B. Walter Scholarship

Award:  $500       Deadline: February 14, 2025 (Turn in to the Guidance Office)  

The Ohio Educational Service Center Association presents the Franklin B. Walter Award to an outstanding senior from each county. This award is available to each school district in Pickaway County, with one selected winner for the county. Submit the Franklin B. Walter Scholarship Application packet to the Guidance Office. 

South Central Power Company Scholarships  

Award:  $1,000 each (They give multiple awards for each scholarship)   Application Deadline:  February 1, 2025

The South Central Power Company Foundation Board (SCPFB) approved the continuation of its scholarship program for the 2024-2025 school year.  SCPFB will offer four types of scholarships for high school seniors. Students may apply for only one scholarship. Please encourage your students to apply, select the application that best suits their academic achievements, and career plans.  Applications are limited to the official scholarship application and grade transcript.  Below are the scholarship names and respective purpose. 

• • Academic Excellence Scholarship - The program provides graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence in the classroom as well as involvement in school activities with additional funds for higher education in a four-year bachelor’s degree program.

  • Leadership Scholarship - This scholarship is to award eligible high school seniors who have achieved success in and outside of the classroom. Students have accomplished this by one or more of the following criteria: Demonstrated strong school and/or community involvement, maintained employment, served as a leader among their peers and/or faced adversities. The scholarship is to provide financial support to high school seniors who plan to pursue a 4-year degree at an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution.

  • Community Scholarship - This scholarship is to award eligible high school seniors who exemplify the cooperative principle “concern for the community.” These students demonstrate strong community involvement and leadership skills through community and volunteer work and an ongoing commitment to community service. The scholarship is to provide financial support to high school seniors who plan to pursue a 4-year degree at an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution.

  • Career-Technical Scholarship - This scholarship is to award eligible high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a trade or vocational field. The scholarship is to provide financial support to high school seniors who plan to attend a trade school, technical school or community college and obtain an associate degree, diploma or certificate.

Applications and rules for the $1,000 scholarships can be obtained from our website at South Central Power Scholarship Information and Application.  NO other documentation should be attached unless otherwise required.  For example:  The community scholarship requires at least one letter of recommendation.  Grade transcripts must be reported as unweighted on a 4.0 scale.  The teacher evaluation is limited to the allocated spacing on the application.

Completed forms must be submitted online by 11:59 p.m. on February 1, 2025.  Awards will be announced in March 2025.

Finch Connection Scholarship

Award:  $1,000                                         Deadline:  May 1, 2024

The Finch Connection is offering a scholarship for any Westfall senior who is interested in pursuing a career in Real Estate or Business.  Please complete the Finch Connection Scholarship Application.  Please return the application packet to the Guidance Office by May 1, 2024.

Circleville Amvets Post 2256 Scholarship

Award:  (1) $1,000 - (1) $500                Deadline:  May 1, 2024

Mandee Millard Scholarship "NEW" (Must be senior band student)

Award:  $500 Deadline:  April 20, 2024

Mandee was a 2006 Westfall graduate.  She was a 4-year Westfall band member and played the trumpet.  Mandee continued her education a the University of Phoenix and graduated as Valedictorian.  In 2016, Mandee was taken from her family by a drunk driver.  Her family would like to honor Mandee with this scholarship to help further a Westfall graduating senior.  To apply complete the Mandee Millard Scholarship Application. Columbus Italian Club Scholarship 

Award: $1000                               Deadline:  April 20, 2024

For over 30 years the Columbus Italian Club has provided this award to help students of Italian decent with their educational expenses.  The Columbus Italian Club (CIC), a fraternal organization whose mission is to promote and preserve Italian culture and heritage in the Italian-American community, is proud to again sponsor the CIC Scholarship Award.  The CIC scholarship program awards at least ten scholarships per year, typically in the amount of $1,000, to high school seniors of Italian descent who wish to further their education.  To apply, complete the Columbus Italian Club Scholarship Application.  Application packet is due to the Guidance Office no later than April 20, 2024

Justin Butcher Scholarship 

Award:  $500          Deadline: April 12, 2024

The Justin Butcher Memorial Fund (JBMF) Scholarship has been created to honor the legacy of Justin Butcher. Justin was a 2016 Westfall High School graduate and a proud member of the Mustang’s wrestling, football and baseball teams. Justin was a young man who loved his church home, family, friends, and teammates with all his heart Although Justin only spent 19 short years on this earth, we want his spirit and love for Jesus to live on for many years to come. It is for that reason that this scholarship was created.  To apply, complete the  Justin Butcher Scholarship .  Application must be turned in to the Guidance Office by April 12, 2024.

Engage for the Future Scholarship 

Award: $300 Deadline:  April 15, 2024

The ENGAGE FOR THE FUTURE  non- partisan scholarship will be awarded to a high school senior in each of the four public school systems in Pickaway County. Each award will be for at least $300 and can be applied to a formal learning situation of your choice. This may be, for example; art classes, ceramics classes, college tuition, music lessons, horseback riding lessons, tech school tuition, guitar lessons, master gardener training, fitness training, chef school, etc. As part of the application process the intended use of the funds will be specified. Funds will be issued directly to the organization/school you identified in your application on your behalf. Atomic Credit Union Scholarship "NEW"

Award:  $500 (3 available) Deadline:  March 29, 2024

The Westfall School District is currently partnered with Atomic Credit Union.  They offer student-run banking services during our Friday Flex/Lunch Periods.  This opportunity allows Westfall Students to open a bank account. Students can make deposits and/or withdrawals.  They have (3) $500 scholarships available to seniors in the schools that participate in the student-led banking services.  To be eligible for this scholarship, the senior must have or open an active bank account and complete the application by March 29th.  The application must be submitted in a large manila envelope (available in the guidance office) and delivered to the Circleville branch (closest one to Westfall). RPHF Solid Waste District Scholarship "NEW"

Ula Jean Ater Metzler Scholarship (Pickaway Works) 

Award:  $1,000               Deadline: March 29, 2024

This scholarship was established to encourage pursuit of a post-secondary degree or certification by a first-generation student, meaning you are the first person in your immediate family to go on beyond high school to further your education. If you have an older brother, sister or a parent currently in a post-secondary program, but they have not yet completed the program, you are still considered to be “First-Generation”.  To apply, complete the Pickaway Works - Scholarship Application  Deadline:   Completed applications must be returned to the Guidance Office March 29, 2024 by 12:00 PM - Noon.

Ohio Gas Association Scholarship "NEW"

M3K Real Estate Network Inc. offers one $500 scholarship to senior Pickaway County students, who are enrolled for Fall 2024 College/University programs. M3K Real Estate Network Inc. Public Piano Art Contest is open to all high school seniors, including homeschooled students, attending school in, or residing in, Pickaway County. This includes all public, private, and homeschool programs. This contest is not limited to students planning to major in the visual arts, but all Pickaway County High School Seniors, as defined in the terms and conditions. Students are asked to design art, which will cover the M3K Real Estate Network Inc. Public Piano exterior, excluding the keys. Pickaway County Farm Bureau Scholarship "NEW"

Kingston National Bank is offering Six $500.00 scholarships to qualified graduating seniors who intend to pursue a college education in the fall of 2021. James T. Shea Memorial Award "NEW"

Ed Umsted Memorial

Co-Alliance Scholarship

Co-Alliance Cooperative Inc., is a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Avon, Indiana with branches serving energy and agribusiness customers across Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan. We believe the youth in our communities are dedicated, passionate, and instrumental in shaping the future of the agriculture industry. Our Scholarship Program is designed to benefit college-bound high school seniors who are the children and grandchildren of our local cooperative members and who intend to study agriculture. Ohio Natural Energy Foundation Scholarship

SMPS Columbus Scholarship

In 2017, the Columbus Chapter of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) started a Scholarship program to benefit learners at multiple stages throughout their education and career and have since awarded $51,500 in scholarships.  The applicants should be planning to continue their education at a two- or four-year college, university or trade school in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Marketing related fields and have at least a 3.0 GPA.  Additionally, scholarship recipients will be offered the opportunity to be paired with SMPS Columbus members to discuss their career path, networking, resume preparation, and related matters within the AEC industry, as well as receive a student membership to SMPS Columbus.  Students will be notified of award by the end of March.  The deadline to apply is March 1, 2024.  To apply complete the SMPS Columbus Scholarship Application Email completed application packet to vanessal@designwithma.com 

The Hagan Scholarship

The American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) Buckeye Chapter offers scholarships to deserving Central Ohio High School Seniors.  They are looking for high school seniors who plan to enter a field of study related to financial or resource management in business administration, economics, public administration, computer science, or operations research as related to financial management, accounting, or finance.

Requirements for Mary Ann White Community Service Scholarship Program:

·       Students must be seniors and must submit an application.

·       Students must have 100 hours of Community Service over and above required for graduation, or 5 extra volunteer activities, of at least 20 hours each.

·       Students must be entering a field of study directly related to financial/resource management (such as, business administration, economics, public administration, accounting, finance).

·       The application package must include a letter of recommendation from either their high school principal, academic dean, guidance counselor, volunteer organization representative, or high school teacher and a copy of their transcript.

·       Students must be seniors and must submit an application.

Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation and Players Scholarship

Award:  $10,000                 Deadline:  January 15, 2024

The Blue Jackets players in partnership with the Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation established the John H. McConnell Scholarship Fund in 2008 to honor the life and legacy of the team's late founder John H. McConnell. Mr. Mac had a deep-rooted belief in the importance of giving back to the community and this fund was created to recognize a high-school senior who closely personifies the character and leadership that Mr. Mac valued. Justin Butcher Scholarship "NEW"

Award:  $500          Deadline: April 29, 2023

The Justin Butcher Memorial Fund (JBMF) Scholarship has been created to honor the legacy of Justin Butcher. Justin was a 2016 Westfall High School graduate and a proud member of the Mustang’s wrestling, football and baseball teams. Justin was a young man who loved his church home, family, friends, and teammates with all his heart Although Justin only spent 19 short years on this earth, we want his spirit and love for Jesus to live on for many years to come. It is for that reason that this scholarship was created.  To apply, complete the  Justin Butcher Scholarship .  Application must be turned in to the Guidance Office by April 29, 2023.

Chief Clark First Responder Scholarship 

Award:  $1,000                 Deadline:  April 21, 2023 by 2:30 pm 

This scholarship is being offered to honor the memory of Ashville Police Chief Douglas E. Clark.  Chief Clark served as a 1st Responder in Pickaway County as a Firefighter/EMS and Police Officer since graduation until he passed away in 2017 after a battle with cancer.  This scholarship is to help others who would like to pursue a career as a First Responder.  The First Responder Scholarship Application packet is due to the Guidance Office no later than April 21, 2023 by 2:30 pm. 

The 33 Forever Scholarship "NEW"

Award:  $1,333               Deadline:  April 15, 2023 by 5:00 pm

33 Forever, Inc., an Ohio mental health non-profit, is announcing a new local scholarship available to Pickaway County High School seniors for 2021. Last year, 33 Forever provided scholarships to high school seniors in Richland County and this year it has been able to expand its scholarship program and add a scholarship for any Pickaway County high school senior.  It is a unique offering - not based on need or grade point average. Turney and Lucille Renick Scholarship (The Dayton Foundation)

Award:  $20,000/4 years - $5,000/year - (3 scholarships are available)              Deadline:  April 7, 2023

The Turney and Lucille Renick Scholarship was established for graduates of Westfall High School in Pickaway County, Ohio who are deserving students with financial need who plan to attend an accredited 4-year college or university.  To apply: Complete the Renick Scholarship Application  The application packet is due to the Guidance Office no later than April 7th, 2023 by 2:30 pm. 

Child Conservation League Scholarship

Award:  $2,000                         Deadline:  ​Deadline:  ​March 31, 2023

The Child Conservation League Scholarships are awarded to senior students attending any Pickaway County High School (Circleville, Westfall, Logan Elm, Teays Valley, New Hope Christian Academy) or who are home schooled.   All applications will be judged on student merit, extracurricular achievements, essay content, application appearance, and results of a personal interview with the scholarship committee members. 

• Complete applications include: the 2-page questionnaire, official transcript, (2) letters of recommendation and the completed essay question

• Scholarship winners will be notified prior to your Senior Awards Night but the scholarship and monies will be given at that time.

• This year, we are giving a total of $2000 in scholarship money; however, it is divided by an undisclosed number of applicants (some years it has been 2, some 4, it just depends on the candidates).

Robert A. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship (General Electric Credit Union)

Award:  Five - $2,000               Deadline: March 31, 2023 

The Robert A. Cunningham Scholarship was created in 1998 to honor the memory of Robert A. Cunningham, who was a GECU board member for 30 years. The Credit Union’s Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers elected by its members. The Board’s vital role is to establish the Credit Union’s policies and procedures. In addition to volunteering for GECU’s Board of Directors, Mr. Cunningham’s spirit of volunteerism was also prominent in the community.  This college scholarship honors five graduating high-school seniors who share the same spirit of volunteerism and scholastic achievement as Mr. Cunningham. Application Deadline is March 31, 2023. Students may submit their application using our new online application form. Five scholarships will be awarded and each scholarship recipient will receive a one-time award of $2,000.

Mandee Millard Scholarship "NEW" (Must be senior band student)

Award:  $500 Deadline:  April 1, 2023

Mandee was a 2006 Westfall graduate.  She was a 4-year Westfall band member and played the trumpet.  Mandee continued her education a the University of Phoenix and graduated as Valedictorian.  In 2016, Mandee was taken from her family by a drunk driver.  Her family would like to honor Mandee with this scholarship to help further a Westfall graduating senior.  To apply complete the Mandee Millard Scholarship Application. LENNA R. JOYCE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship supports students from Central Ohio who ENROLL at The Ohio State University (OSU) and University of Notre Dame (Notre Dame).  The scholarship covers the standard expenses of attending four years, eight semesters, at OSU or Notre Dame, and includes tuition, mandatory fees, average room and board plan, books, transportation, and incidental expenses.

• Students must be from Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union counties in Ohio. 

• This scholarship DOE NOT require a separate application. You must complete the University's admission application and submit all required documents.

  • • • At OSU, central Ohio students who are ADMITTED to the Columbus main campus as a freshman for autumn 2020, and offered honors affiliation, automatically become candidates for the Joyce Scholarship.

        • • To apply for freshman admission to OSU and honors affiliation, students must complete either the Common Application at Common Application or the Coalition Application at OSU Undergraduate Application by NOVEMBER 1, 2022 and the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) by FEBRUARY 1, 2023.

      • At Notre Dame, students need to complete the standard application for admission  Notre Dame Admissions by January 9, 2023, and the application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) by FEBRUARY 15, 2023

The Pickaway Soil and Water Conservation District is offering at least three $1,000 scholarships to Pickaway County High School seniors who will be majoring in Agriculture or Natural Resources. The scholarship is for the purpose of continuing higher education at a two or four year college or university.  To apply complete the Donald E. Monroe Alumni Association Scholarship 

Award:  $500                                           Deadline:  April 19, 2022 (Note:  Senior must live in Monroe Twp)

The association will award one $500 scholarship to a Westfall senior from Monroe Township. It is to be used for educational expenses at any approved college, university or technical institution. To apply, complete the  Monroe Alumni Association Scholarship .  Applications must be turned in to the Guidance Office by April 19, 2022.

Kingston National Bank is offering Six $500.00 scholarships to qualified graduating seniors who intend to pursue a college education in the fall of 2021. Applicants must be accepted by accredited institutions of higher learning for a two or four year degree and must be a graduate of the following schools: Amanda Clearcreek, Circleville, Logan Elm, Teays Valley, New Hope Christian Academy or Westfall.  To apply complete the Kingston National Bank Scholarship Application   Note: This application includes a form to be completed by the guidance office.  Applications must be turned in to the Guidance Office by April 15, 2022. Ted Lewis Memorial Music Scholarship

Joshua R Green Memorial Scholarship - "NEW"

Award: $1,330                               Deadline:  April 19, 2022

This Scholarship is awarded in the memory of Joshua Green. Joshua was a 2014 graduate of Westfall High School. He was a varsity member of the wrestling team, the football team and the baseball team. Upon finishing high school, Joshua went to Pickaway Ross Adult Education and got his Electrician Certificate. He went on to work for Jess Howard Electric and then Team Fishel. Joshua was a friend to many and missed dearly by his family and friends. Alvarez Family Scholarship - Health Care Careers - "NEW"

This scholarship is awarded in the memory of Carlos Barriere Alvarez, MD, and Jacqueline Shelton Alvarez. Dr. Carlos Alvarez opened his surgical practice in Circleville in 1959 and he served on the staff at Berger Hospital for 40 years. His wife Jacqueline Shelton Alvarez served her community working as a nurse.  The Alvarez Family wanted to honor their parents’ memory by helping others from their community by providing scholarship. The Alvarez Family Scholarship will be awarded to graduates of a Pickaway County High Schools who plan to serve in a health or social service field.  To apply: Complete the Alvarez Family Scholarship.   Application packet is due to the Guidance Office no later than April 19th, 2022.

Adam Carter Memorial Scholarship - "NEW"

Pickaway County Historical Society Scholarship

Award:  $1,000 Deadline:  April 1, 2022

The objective of the Pickaway County Historical and Genealogical Society Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a selected graduate in Pickaway County in order that they pursue a degree or training leading to a career associated with education (teaching, counseling, coaching, administration, ect…), to promote knowledge and preservation of our heritage, ancestry, and historical records.  Please complete the Pickaway County History Society Scholarship Application packet and mail to the address provided on the application by April 1, 2022.

Roy H Huffer Jr Memorial Scholarship 

Award:  (1) $1,000 or (2) $500 (TBD by scholarship committee) Deadline:  March 25, 2022

The Roy H. Huffer Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of our Husband and Father, a man who embodied the strength of character, integrity and leadership in his community. This award is presented annually to support post-secondary education for the students of Pickaway County. The award will be given to a high school senior with excellent academic achievement and who makes contributions to his or her community. Columbus Italian Club Scholarship "NEW"

Award: $1000                               Deadline:  March 28, 2022

For over 30 years the Columbus Italian Club has provided this award to help students of Italian decent with their educational expenses.  The Columbus Italian Club (CIC), a fraternal organization whose mission is to promote and preserve Italian culture and heritage in the Italian-American community, is proud to again sponsor the CIC Scholarship Award.  The CIC scholarship program awards at least ten scholarships per year, typically in the amount of $1,000, to high school seniors of Italian descent who wish to further their education.  To apply, complete the Columbus Italian Club Scholarship Application.  Application packet is due to the Guidance Office no later than March 28th, 2022.

Paul and Florence Belcher/List Scholarship "NEW

Award:  $1,000                             Deadline:  March 25, 2022

The Paul and Florence Belcher List Scholarship fund was established in 2006. Mr. List was a lifelong resident of what is now the Westfall Local School District. His desire was that this scholarship should be awarded to a Westfall graduate that is planning to further his/her education at any technical or trade school, college or university. The scholarship is not necessarily for the top academic students; it is open to any student that shows a willingness to work hard to better himself/herself in any trade or vocation. Students who are going to a technical or trade or technical school will be preferred. However, if no applicants are going to technical or trade school, students going to traditional colleges or universities will be selected. The award will be made based on need and on the perceived motivation of the student as determined by the Westfall Education Foundation Scholarship Committee after receipt of all applications. The scholarship committee is directed to grant the award to a student that hasn't received any other awards before multiple award winners are considered. This year, the amount of the scholarship will be $1,000 for one recipient. The Westfall Education Foundation Scholarship Committee will determine the number of scholarships that will be awarded in $1,000 increments based on the amount of interest that has been generated in the preceding year. If $1,000 is not available, then no scholarship will be awarded that year. This year, the amount of the scholarship will be $1,000 for one recipient. The applicant must be a Westfall senior who attends either Westfall High School or Pickaway Ross Vocational School. William Mitchell Aldrich Scholarship (FOOTBALL) "NEW"  

Award:  $1,500                           Deadline:  March 25, 2022 

The William Mitchell Aldrich Scholarship has been created to honor the legacy of Mitchell Aldrich. Mitchell was a 2011 Westfall High School graduate and a proud member of the Mustang’s Football team where he spent most of his playing time at Defensive Tackle. Those who were honored to know Mitch knew a person who had a very big heart. It was never uncommon for Mitch to have a huge smile on his face and he really enjoyed watching everyone around look back at him with that same big smile.  Although Mitch only spent 19 short years on this earth, his kindness and generosity will live on for many years to come. It is for that reason that The William Mitchell Aldrich Scholarship was created. This scholarship is to be awarded to a football player preferably, but not limited to, a defensive player.  Another wonderful characteristic of Mitchell was that he accepted anyone as a friend. For that reason, any football player looking to forward their education should seriously consider applying. This scholarship’s recipient will be decided by The Westfall Education Foundation’s committee. However, they know that the criteria are not the highest GPA or the highest football honors. Judson Lanman and Gordon Massie Memorial Scholarship "NEW" 

Award:  $1,000 (2 awards)           Deadline:  March 25, 2022

These two memorial scholarships were established by the Westfall Board of Education in 1996, to honor two former educators and early leaders in the formation of the Westfall School District. Two scholarships were first awarded in May 1999. The contribution of these two men spanned a time from 1945 until 1987. The fund is comprised of contributions from the Westfall Board, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and the families and many friends of these two men. The fund is managed by the Westfall Education Foundation and remains open for any further gifts. Judson H. Lanman died on June 26, 1996 at the age of 85. He was born in Pickaway County and graduated from Walnut Township High School and The Ohio State University. He came to the Williamsport (Deercreek Township) School in 1945, as a science teacher, coach and superintendent. In 1958, he became the first superintendent of the Westfall Local School District. He served in that capacity until 1970, when he was chosen to become the Pickaway County Superintendent of Schools. He served in several other education capacities until his death. He was respected and loved by his students and staff and was well known throughout the community. Gordon R. Massie died on June 18, 1996 at the age of 63. He was born in Lawrence County and graduated from Waterloo High School, Rio Grande College, and Marshall University. Gordon grew up in a family of educators. His father was Superintendent of Schools of North Gallia School District and his brother and sister were teachers and administrators. He joined the Westfall School District in 1962, and in 1964, became the first principal of Westfall High School. He served in that capacity until 1970. He became superintendent of the district in 1972. As superintendent he was fiscally astute, and because of his abilities the district remained financially sound for many years. His main concern was always his "students and he initiated several programs for their benefit. He, too, was highly regarded by the students and staff of Westfall. Mr. Massie appreciated students who were well rounded, involved themselves in activities and organizations, and held a job while keeping up with their school work. Mr. Lanman was described as an educator who demonstrated tolerance and treated all people with equal respect. William Mitchell Aldrich Music Scholarship "NEW"

Award:  $1,500                           Deadline:  March 25, 2022

William Mitchell Aldrich graduated with the Class of 2011 and had a passion for music that would be hard to compare to. His passion came from his parents at a young age where growing up music was always playing. His choice of music was so eclectic that it ranged from Frank Sinatra to Tupac Shakur.  He pursued his musical career during his spare time, even teaching himself the guitar and was a band member prior to his high school years.  Those who were honored to know Mitch knew a person with a very big heart, huge smile and positive attitude. His kindness and generosity will live on for many years to come and it is for that reason the William Mitchell Aldrich Scholarship was established. Mitchell was a well-respected young man, and he would want this scholarship awarded to someone of great character and passion for music and life.  Applicant Information: This scholarship is to be awarded to any student in any of Westfall’s musical programs and preferably but not limited to someone pursing a musical college degree. This person shall have a GPA at or above 2.5, but scholarship is not guaranteed to be awarded to the person with the highest GPA.  In the event a student involved in any of Westfall’s musical programs does not apply, the applicable funds shall be held for the following year. Scott Hiles Memorial Scholarship "NEW"

Award:  $1,000 (1 boy/1 girl)              Deadline:  March 25, 2022

This scholarship is awarded in honor of the memory of Scott Hiles. Mr. Hiles was a former treasurer for the Westfall Local School District. Although Mr. Hiles was at Westfall for a short period of time, he quickly became a true Mustang. He was often seen at functions and events, supporting students' talents and endeavors. APPLICANT INFORMATION This award could possibly be more, but the least amount would be two $500 awards. This year, $1,000 non-renewable awards will be given to two students from the Westfall School District to be used in any post-secondary school including technical, vocational, college or university. The applicant must be a Westfall senior who attends either Westfall High School or Pickaway Ross Career & Technology Center. Westfall Education Foundation Dr. Paul Fenstermaker Service Scholarship "NEW"

Award:  $1,000                           Deadline:  March 25, 2022

Dr. Paul Fenstermaker served the Westfall School District as an original board member of the Westfall Local School Board over 50 years ago. Prior to serving on the Westfall School Board, he was a member of the Williamsport School Board. He also is a former member of the Pickaway County Health Board. Dr. Fenstermaker who is a veterinarian, also helped countless 4-Hers throughout his long career. He is a well-respected member of the community and a supporter of the Westfall Schools. Due to his service and integrity, the Westfall Education Foundation thinks it fitting to name one of our service scholarships in his honor. The Dr. Paul Fenstermaker Service Scholarship will be in the amount of $1,000 and will be given annually to a graduating Westfall student who has shown extraordinary acts of service. STUDENT INFORMATION: The recipient of this scholarship will be a student who demonstrates service to others or their local community. This scholarship is based on services performed by the applicant. The money from this award comes from proceeds of the Foundation's annual fundraiser, Party with a Purpose. The applicant must be a Westfall senior who attends either Westfall High School or Pickaway Ross Vocational School. Grade Point Average must be 2.5 or better. Westfall Education Foundation Service Scholarship "NEW" 

Award:  $1,000                           Deadline:  March 25, 2022

Each year, the Westfall Education Foundation honors a community member who has demonstrated service to the Westfall Community by giving of his or her time, talents and treasures. The honoree exemplifies service to others. This year the Westfall Education Foundation's honoree is Mrs. Diane Williams. Mrs. Williams used her time and talents as a vocal music teacher and school play director at Westfall High School. The performances and plays Mrs. Williams produced were exceptional, and the students were committed to excellence. With Mrs. Williams' guidance, the students presented enjoyable concerts and shows for their audiences. These events were well attended by community members as well. Mrs. Williams' conveyed to her students how important music and performing arts can be, regardless of whether you are the performer or a member of the audience. STUDENT INFORMATION: The recipient of this scholarship will be a student who demonstrates service to others or their local community. This scholarship is based on services performed by the applicant. The money from this award comes from proceeds of the Foundation's annual fundraiser, Party with a Purpose. The applicant must be a Westfall senior who attends either Westfall High School or Pickaway Ross Vocational School. Grade Point Average must be 2.5 or better. Co-Alliance Scholarship

Award:  $1,000 Deadline:  March 1, 2022

Co-Alliance Cooperative Inc., is a farmer-owned cooperative headquartered in Avon, Indiana with branches serving energy and agribusiness customers across Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan. We believe the youth in our communities are dedicated, passionate, and instrumental in shaping the future of the agriculture industry. Our Scholarship Program is designed to benefit college-bound high school seniors who are the children and grandchildren of our local cooperative members and who intend to study agriculture. We award 30 one-time scholarships of $1,000.  To apply complete the Co-Alliance Scholarship Application.  The application must be mailed and postmarked on or before March 1, 2022.

Willam Ammer Memorial Scholarship (Columbus Foundation) LOCAL 

Award:  TBD               Deadline Extended : 3/7/2022

The Columbus Foundation is the administrator for the William Ammer Memorial Educational Trust Fund of the Pickaway County Community Foundation.  This scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Circleville City Schools, Logan Elm City Schools, Teays Valley Local Schools and Westfall School District.  Candidates must be pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited public or nonprofits independent college or university in the United States.  The deadline is March 1, 2022 by 5:00 PM EST. South Central Power Company Scholarships  

Award:  $1,000 each (They give multiple awards for each scholarship)   Application Deadline:  February 1, 2022

The South Central Power Company Foundation Board (SCPFB) approved the continuation of its scholarship program for the 2021-2022 school year.  SCFB will offer four types of scholarships for high school seniors. You may apply for only one scholarship. Applications are limited to the official scholarship application and grade transcript.  Below are the scholarship names and respective purpose. 

• Academic Excellence Scholarship - The program provides graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence in the classroom as well as involvement in school activities with additional funds for higher education in a four-year bachelor’s degree program.  

• Leadership Scholarship - This scholarship is to award eligible high school seniors who have achieved success in and outside of the classroom. Students have accomplished this by one or more of the following criteria: Demonstrated strong school and/or community involvement, maintained employment, served as a leader among their peers and/or faced adversities. The scholarship is to provide financial support to high school seniors who plan to pursue a 4-year degree at an accredited college, university or post-secondary institution.  

• Community Scholarship - This scholarship is to award eligible high school seniors who exemplify the cooperative principle “concern for the community.” These students demonstrate strong community involvement and leadership skills through community and volunteer work and an ongoing commitment to community service. The scholarship is to provide financial support to high school seniors who plan to pursue a 4-year degree at an accredited college, university, or post-secondary institution. 

• Career-Technical Scholarship - This scholarship is to award eligible high school seniors who plan to pursue a career in a trade or vocational field. The scholarship is to provide financial support to high school seniors who plan to attend a trade school, technical school or community college and obtain an associate degree, diploma or certificate. 

NO other documentation should be attached unless otherwise required.  For example:  The community scholarship requires at least one letter of recommendation.  Grade transcripts must be reported as unweighted on a 4.0 scale.  The teacher evaluation is limited to the allocated spacing on the application.
