Our REAL Intensive English program can be taken online or on campus. Each 16-week level is divided into two 8-week courses. Students will take a placement exam to determine their starting level and whether they may qualify for the bridge program and begin earning credits towards a Westcliff degree. Please view our program flyer that you can share with your students.
Yes, students can complete on-campus ESL instruction through one of our approved ESL pathway partners before transitioning to WU. Students must apply to the ESL program before submitting an application. Through the Westcliff EC Portal, please submit an application for the students desired degree program they will take AFTER they graduate. Under the Program Information section, select “Yes” to the question Does the applicant intend on completing an ESL program to satisfy English proficiency requirements outside of Westcliff University? This will indicate they are applying as a pathway student and qualify them to receive a conditional letter of acceptance for Westcliff. This will help strengthen their visa interview together with the I-20 issued from their preferred language school. Please note that the student must apply to both WU and the ESL school.
You may upload your duolingo scores in the Upload Document section, Documents for Acceptance category.
