About Me After working with K-12 English Language Learners for five years, I taught 7th-grade language arts and social studies for eight years. I left education for a while to take care of my family and then direct a local food pantry. I then worked at a public library, where my main role was to do community outreach with preschoolers. This is my third year now as the Library Teacher at Saccarappa. I am currently working toward my Library Media Specialist certification and am enrolled in UMaine's graduate program. As I am managing the many moving parts of a school library and teaching approximately 400 students each week, I am also learning a lot at nights and on the weekends, in order to help me do both jobs better.
