The Westbrook Education Foundation (WEF) is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of community volunteers committed to the principle that high-quality public education is essential to the economic and social well-being of the whole community. The mission of WEF is to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes for children in Westbrook through community engagement, fundraising and grantmaking. In partnership with the Westbrook School Department, we work to achieve our collective vision: the best education for all - for life.
As a dedicated, volunteer board of directors, we are committed to collaborating with the Westbrook School Department to ensure that all of the money gets invested into our schools. We commit to funding initiatives that fall outside of the school budget. The plan is to invest in outdoor learning spaces at all of the schools, bring back milestone experiences for 4th, 8th and 10th graders, and expand on experiential learning opportunities for all students, and so much more! We are committed to building community support for our schools to promote a positive learning environment, working environment, and helping cultivate pride for the Blue Blazes.
Your tax deductible donation will help us give a scholarship to at least 1 senior in class of 2026 who is going onto higher education, send the 4th grade class on a beach field trip to help begin their transition into the middle school for 5th grade, and allow us to start planning for the 2026-2027 school year!
