COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

1. Set Building

Assist in the building, installation and painting involved with the varied set pieces that are fixed, moved in/out, or flown in/out as part of the production. Assist in the installation and care of any rented set components and/or drops.

 

2. Props Procuring & Props Management

Assist with procuring or constructing prop pieces needed for the production. Assist with picking up and returning any rental props. Assist with managing props before and after dress rehearsals and performances (during if needed). Responsibilities before and after performances should be shared to permit parents to attend shows.

 

3. Costume Management

Assist in caring for the rented  costumes and wigs. Assist with managing wardrobe pieces before and after dress rehearsals and performances (during if needed). Responsibilities before and after performances should be shared to permit parents to attend shows.

 

4. Hair & Make-up

Assist with providing support for the cast concerning hair and make-up needs for the given musical. Such makeup and hair assistance would be needed prior to dress rehearsals and the performances. Assist with managing clean-up before and after as needed. Responsibilities before and after performances should be shared to permit parents to attend shows. Assist with managing and securing materials and supplies between rehearsals/performances. Organize secure storage of remaining materials and supplies after the show closes.

 

5. Publicity

Assist with publicity efforts supporting the production, such as social media posting and maximizing an effective distribution of show posters.

 

6. Company Party

Assist with the planning and implementation of the food, beverages and other activities involved in the annual Company Party on the Sunday evening the day after the show closes. This would include aspects such as menu planning, soliciting donations, acquiring food and supplies, and implementing the food prep, set-up, serving and clean-up.

 

7. Raffle Baskets

Participate in the planning and implementation of raffle baskets as part of the souvenir sales as part of the lobby concessions. Assist with one or more of the tasks involved, such as soliciting donations, compiling the baskets themselves, selling and tear down at each performance, managing and securing the raffle tickets and cash proceeds, and managing and securing the baskets between shows,

 

8. Food Concessions

Note that a link will be emailed to solicit volunteers for each show 2-3 weeks before the opening weekend once family schedules are most likely confirmed, including tickets purchased for the shows families are planning to attend.

Assist with the planning and implementation of the snacks and beverage sales as part of the lobby food concessions. Assist with one or more of the tasks involved, such as securing and scheduling volunteers, soliciting donations, acquiring items for sale, implementing the set-up, selling and tear down at each performance, managing and securing the cash proceeds, managing and securing inventory between shows, and considering new items for sale.

 

8. Souvenir Concessions
