About this Step:

In this step, we will dive into the sounds that made up funk music in the 1970s. Taking off in the late 1960s, funk hit its stride in the 1970s and inspired people to get out on the dance floor. We will determine what makes funk unique to rock music and compare funk to traditional rock music.
