Apply-Performance Task 3 Module 3

For you final performance task, you will go on to YouTube, and watch one of Meridians City Council meetings from the past year. You can search City of Meridian for their YouTube channel to gain access to all their videos. You will then listen to the presenters and what they are saying. Take notes at how they are addressing the members of City Council.

Your job is to become a presenter at a "Fake" City Council Meeting and create a proposal to read for the city to vote on. What are you doing to present and why are you presenting it.

Make sure you state, what it is that you want, why you want it, how you will pay for it, and what it does to benefit the city. This is your presentation, all the city's leaders eyes will be on you as, so be prepared with questions to have answered.

How you deliver this message or proposal is up to you, you can create a power-point, a paper, a prezi.

Topics that you can bring up are adding parks, creating a new skate park, or bringing a new business to town. Don't be afraid to explore some issues that you want.

When you are finished, make sure that you turn it in to your instructor. Make sure that you work with them to complete this project.
