Step 1: Open the Google slides located to the right and make a copy.
Step 2: Complete the required slides, including watching the video on slide 4 "We Are All Different" that is to the right.
Step 3: Once you have completed all of the slides turn in through Slate.

Step 2: Located in the slide is information about writing an argument piece and a video.
Step 2: As you look through the slides, fill out the note catcher located below the slides.
Step 3: After filling out the note catcher, complete the required slides within the "Claim, Counterclaim, and Rebuttal" slideshow.
Step 4: Turn in the note catcher and the Google slides into Slate.

Step 3: Use both of these documents to help you complete the Performance task worksheet located to the right.

Before moving onto the next Milestone complete the following steps:
Open the Competency Dashboard in Slate.
Get your ELA credit slip.
Using the scores in the Competency Dashboard fill in your credit slip.
Conference with your teacher about your score and how that translates into a percentage.
If you are happy with your grade move onto the next Milestone. If you are unhappy revise a Performance task and resubmit. Once you are satisfied with your grade move onto the next Milestone.
